Donation Policy and Request Form

EAST ROCKINGHAM RECREATION ASSOCIATION DONATION REQUESTS

The East Rockingham Recreation Association (ERRA) appreciates our unique opportunity to help the community. Each year, our association supports non-profit organizations through donations towards various fundraising events.

Although we would like to respond to every donation request we receive, we unfortunately cannot fulfill them all. We have established the following guidelines to assist  with the donation requests. An annual limit (based on the value of the donation) has been budgeted for donation requests. Cash requests are not accepted.

If you are interested in obtaining a donation from East Rockingham Recreation Association, please read the following guidelines. If your organization is eligible, please submit a formal Donation Request Form via the form below. You may also submit a request on organization letterhead with a completed Donation Request Form via mail, by email to erraboard@gmail.com. The decision to make a donation is at the discretion of the East Rockingham Recreation Association board of directors.

Guidelines

• All donation requests must be submitted in writing on letterhead and received at least sixty (60) days prior to the event date.
• To accommodate as many requests as possible, East Rockingham Recreation Association can only make one donation per fiscal year (November 1 thru October 31) to each organization.
• We do not sponsor teams or individuals.
  
• Only requests from organizations located in Rockingham County or Harrisonburg City will be considered.
• If your request is accepted, and you are a 501(c)(3) Organization, you must provide your IRS certification letter. (If your event is approved, we will request this at a later date.)
• Telephone requests will not be accepted.
• All requests will be considered on a first come, first serve basis.
  
• Although we wish that we could fulfill all requests, submitting a request does not guarantee that your organization will receive a donation.
• If approved, all donations are subject to availability and will be fulfilled a minimum of one week prior to the event.
• Donations expire within one year and are not redeemable for cash.

Once your request has been processed, an ERRA representative will contact you regarding your donation pick-up, or we would be happy to mail it to you.
